Alternatively, your hot tub can sit on a 4-6” compacted layer of gravel or possibly your deck, if you have it reinforced professionally to hold the extra weight. 

Next up is electrical. For a traditional hot tub, you’ll need to have your electrician install a 220V hardwired circuit that is GFCI protected. 

Once those two things are prepared, you can have your hot tub delivered. If there is easy access to the site, it takes just mere hours.
